Three Mian Categories Of Chinese Tea
Chinese tea may be classified into five categories according to the different methods by which it is processed. There are three main varieties of tea -- green, black, and oolong. The difference between the teas is in their processing.
Green tea: Green tea is made from unfermented leaves and reportedly contains the highest concentration of powerful antioxidants called polyphenols. Antioxidants are substances that scavenge free radicals -- damaging compounds in the body that alter cells, tamper with DNA (genetic material), and even cause cell death. Free radicals occur naturally in the body, but environmental toxins (including ultraviolet rays from the sun, radiation, cigarette smoke, and air pollution) also give rise to these damaging particles. Many scientists believe that free radicals contribute to the aging process as well as the development of a number of health problems, including cancer and heart disease. Antioxidants such as polyphenols in green tea can neutralize free radicals and may reduce or even help prevent some of the damage they cause.
Black tea: Black tea is the most consumed type of tea in the ...
... world. Tea overall is the second most consumed beverage in the world, with water as the first. Black Tea is made from the same plant as green tea and white. There is good reason the black type of tea is number one over its 3 other teas white, green, and oolong. It offers the most varieties and is the most preferred of the four types. Did you know that although all tea is made from the leaves of the same plant, Camellia sinensis, black tea is the most oxidized variety, contains more caffeine, and has a stronger flavor than other varieties such as green and white tea, which it can retain for years.Black leaf tea is the most popular tea in Western countries, accounting for over 90% of volume sales, a justified leading position, because, although green tea has in recent years been the front-runner regarding health claims, black tea has many beneficial attributes as well.
Oolong tea: Wu Long Tea (Oolong ) is a semi-oxidized tea, occupying the middle ground between green and black teas.Combining the best qualities of green tea and black tea.Wu Long Tea is not only as clear and fragrant as GreenTea,but also as fresh and strong as Black Tea.If you drink Wu Long Tea, the natural aroma may linger in your mouth and make your throat comfortable.Wu Long Tea is helpful in antiaging, bringing high blood pressure down, improving immunocompetence, anti-heart-disease etc.Wu Long Tea can help you digest food, refresh yourself and sober up. It is also helpful in prolonging your lifespan. To sum up, it is a world-famous natural health drink.
