Samsung Galaxy R - Dominates Whole Of The Phone Market
Even though the Samsung Galaxy S2 is doing extremely well at the top end of the segment, Samsung is keen to extend the same success in other segments as well. The Samsung Galaxy R, though, is the first real attempt by the company to do so. The company has certainly come a long way since the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S, but the success of the Samsung Galaxy S2 has provided the company with the necessary knowledge and expertise in order to make a phone of the Samsung Galaxy R magnitude. Of course, this is not the flagship model of the company, but it is a phone that is extremely crucial in the context of the segment as a whole.
The Samsung Galaxy Rwill be a phone that offers some of the features of the Samsung Galaxy S2, but makes significant changes to the other departments in order to make it cost effective. This would enable Samsung to price the Samsung Galaxy R on a similar level to the iPhone 4. This undoubtedly has to be one of the spectacular aspects ...
... of the Samsung Galaxy R because it is not high end smartphone, but it will still be capable of challenging the iPhone 4 – one of the greatest phones in the market today. The Samsung Galaxy R has a 4.2 inch display, while the AMOLED technology is replaced in favour of the SC-LCD display unit in the phone. This, though, does not make any significant changes to the way that the phone will make contents appear.
It is also not surprising to learn this fact because most of the high-end smartphones from Motorola and HTC still rely on the LCD display unit more than anything else. The Samsung Galaxy R has made a significant stride when it comes to reducing its cost by eliminating some of the options in the memory and the camera department. Instead of the eight megapixel unit, the Samsung Galaxy R will be going back to the five megapixel unit seen in the Samsung Galaxy S, which not only provides a cost-effective solution, but is also extremely good as well. Aside from the lack of the full HD 1080 p video recording option, it would be hard to blame any lack of features on this five megapixel unit.
The memory department, likewise, has seen a significant reduction from the 16 GB and 32 GB options to the 8 GB version in the Samsung Galaxy R. Despite this, the Samsung Galaxy R still offers the external memory card support, which makes it handy when you deem the internal memory in sufficient for your entertainment requirements. The 1 GHz dual core processor, though, is the star of the show, as it provides the capability to experience the same kind of performance as seen in the Samsung Galaxy S2, although the two processors slightly differ in terms of the clock speed. The Samsung Galaxy R should be available in the UK in the next few weeks.
