Iphone 5 And Iphone 4 Are Without Doubt The Best Touch Screen Phones
There is a common perception that the life of a smartphone is not more than six months, but the iPhone 4 is probably the one smartphone that has managed to divide the opinion. Even though the phone was launched back in April 2010, it is still being considered as one of the best smartphones. However, it has not prevented other manufacturers from trying to launch a phone that is capable of simulating the success of the iPhone 4 in its own backyard. In such a scenario, Apple will be launching the iPhone 5 in order to make the brand once again successful because the Samsung Galaxy S2 launched recently has managed just that.
The iPhone 4 is now tied at the top of the segment along with the Samsung Galaxy S2, with the brand image of Apple now rescuing this phone. It does not take long to admit the fact that the Samsung Galaxy S2 is a far superior phone when compared with the iPhone 4, but then again, the Samsung product is quite pricey when compared with the iPhone 4. Hence, one can say that the iPhone 4 is still the supreme Star in the smartphone ...
... segment. Recently, Apple also won a claim that confirmed the fact that the iPhone 4 remains as the thinnest phone in the market. The Samsung Galaxy S2 we have a total thickness of just 8.7 mm, but it does not have the same thickness all over the body. The iPhone 4 may be measuring 9.3 mm, but this dimension is constant throughout the phone.
The iPhone 5 is expected to be even thinner than the iPhone 4. Further, it will also come with a much improved 3.7 inch display, which is now possible in the iPhone due to the edge to edge display technology. The usage of this display technology does not mean that the retina display unit and the IPS panel technology will now be eliminated. The iPhone 5 is expected to incorporate all these technologies into one single package, which will certainly push the boundaries of the smartphone segment once again. The iPhone 5 will be coming with a dual core processor. Even though this is certainly not the first phone that will offer a dual core processor in the mobile phone segment, it is certainly so when it comes to the Apple line-up.
Apple has certainly learnt to reduce the production costs of the iPhone 5. This has been done by using the same 900 MHz dual core processor seen in the Apple iPad 2. The iPhone 4 runs on a 1 GHz processor, which is more than sufficient for the operating system that it will be handling given that the phone comes with 512 MB of RAM as well. The launch of the iPhone 5, which is expected to be announced in the next few weeks, will certainly lower the price of the iPhone 4 both in the contract and SIM free options in the UK.
