The recent availability of the BlackBerry OS 7 has certainly has made a lot of changes within the BlackBerry line-up. No longer can BlackBerry be considered as a mobile phone maker, which is primarily concentrating on making business phones only. The launch of the BlackBerry Torch 9860 confirms this fact, while it also seems like a BlackBerry are not intent on giving up their stranglehold on the business segment. The launch of the BlackBerry Curve 9360 confirms this fact. The two phones are extremely varied in terms of both features and the segment that they will be present in, but they represent the new face of the company.

The BlackBerry Curve 9360 is a phone that offers are quite brilliant 2.4 inch display. Certainly, this phone will not be known for the display size, but still BlackBerry has taken extra care in providing the display with a resolution of 480 x 360 pixels. This ensures that the BlackBerry Curve 9360 has the capability to support around 250 ppi, which is incidentally the same as the pixels density offered by the BlackBerry ...
... Torch 9860. Despite having the same pixel density, the BlackBerry Torch 9860 is extremely different and it does not take long to learn this fact. The phone comes with a massive 3.7 inch display, which is probably the largest ever included in the BlackBerry phone, but it also comes with a massive resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. This makes the display of the BlackBerry Torch 9860 look much better than many of the high end smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy S2.

The BlackBerry Curve 9360 offers of around 512 MB of storage internally, which is assisted by the ability to expand the memory to up to 32 GB using memory cards. While the same feature is present in the BlackBerry Torch 9860 as well, the premium phone offers a little bit more in terms of the internal memory. It has 4 GB to be precise, which provides the user with the ability to store quite a lot of data without having to resort to the external memory card. The presence of the 720 p HD video recording option within the five megapixel camera is one of the reasons for BlackBerry to provide a decent amount of internal memory with the BlackBerry Torch 9860.

The BlackBerry Curve 9360, on the other hand, offers the same five megapixel camera, but it does not come with the same number of options. It is certainly understandable, but the BlackBerry Curve 9360 does not skimp on the features that it counts the most – connectivity. Both phones come with the NFC support, while the BlackBerry Torch 9860 has a little more options in the connectivity segment. Still, they both offer the same features to it comes to the essential connectivity options like 3G and Wi-Fi. The BlackBerry Curve 9360 is available for around £ 260, while the BlackBerry Torch 9860 is available for £35 per month on contract options in the United Kingdom.
