British author J.K. Rowling has fascinated us for over a decade with her hit book series featuring Harry Potter. The book series started with Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone back in June of 1997. Since then she has released six other books and all of them have been made into big theater movies. The Harry Potter series has gained critical acclaim and has been a success throughout the world. By June of 2011, the series has sold about 450 million copies. It also has been translated into sixty seven different languages. The last four Harry Potter books set consecutive records for the fastest selling books in history.

The book series has fans of all ages. It has become so popular that there is even a Harry Potter Theme Park attraction in Florida at the Universal Islands of Adventure at the Orlando Resort. The park features the Hogwarts castle and thrilling ride. Due to the popularity of the ride, it is recommended that people purchase a two day ticket in order to see all of the attractions.
