An Intro To The Key Specifications Of The Impressive New Htc Evo 3d
The HTC Evo 3D was recently released in the UK. It looks set to be a popular choice, with its impressive spec list which has some features not found in many smartphones, particularly its namesake 3D technology which includes its camera and touchscreen.
In this article, I will provide an overview of some of its key features, and look at who a phone like this is likely to appeal to.
3D Technology
As the name suggests, the HTC Evo 3D provides a number of 3D specifications, and this provides a massive part of the phone’s appeal. The handset comes equipped with a dual 5 megapixel camera, which focuses on two different distances (creating the 3D effect), and these boast a resolution of 2560x 1920, so the resulting images are of very good quality. The camera comes with all the bells and whistles you would expect from any other smartphone; including a dual-LED flash, geo-tagging, face detection etc, and also the ability to shoot video. In both 2D and 3D, this is in up to 720p HD quality. The screen is also graced with 3D credentials, with the ability to display photos and videos in 3D. As well as this, the screen ...
... is actually very impressive. It has a very high resolution of 540x 960 which is nearly on par with the much publicised “retina” display of the iPhone 4, so as you can imagine, the display quality is fantastic. The screen is also quite large at 4.3 inches, making it easy to use, and great for viewing photos and videos etc.
Internet Browsing
One of the most important aspects of smartphone use for many is the ability to browse the internet. The HTC Evo 3D is a great web browsing device, for a number of reasons. Firstly, it utilises a couple of different means of actually connecting to the internet to provide the best connection based on location and network coverage. 3G provides the default connection method, whereby an HSDPA connection allows super fast data download speeds of up to 14.4 Mbps, whilst full Wi-Fi connectivity is also provided. Another impressive feature of the HTC Evo 3D is the fact that it can be used as a Wi-Fi hotspot, whereby it can tether the signal from a local wireless router, and this can in turn provide the Wi-Fi signal for up to 8 additional devices, be they tablets, other phones or laptops.
Obviously, these are only a couple of the features provided by the HCT Evo 3D, but as you can see it is certainly a powerful device. Its versatility means that it can offer appeal to many types of user, and there is clearly much more on offer from this device than just its 3D functions. The HTC Evo 3D is available now, with many UK networks offering the handset for free upon signing up to one of its pay monthly tariffs.
