Viewing Things From An Outside Perspective
"There is a quote by Albert Einstein that states that "No problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it."
Other people seem to be able to figure out some of their own issues that have been nagging them for long stretches of time, and they seem to know the answer without really thinking about it. Sometimes, all we need is another point-of-view. It can help tremendously to have an objective point of view, or a birds-eye view that takes in a broader range of information that can help see things often missed when one is "in" the problem. Is there another way that we can take our issues and piece them apart in a way that lets us look at all angles of it?
What The Bleep Do We Know?! Is an informational film that helped me in this area. Picturing things from a third-dimension rather than a second dimension is what this film tries to explain to the general public. We see things in two dimensions, whereas we can discover ways to broaden our scope and try to see them from a third-one, which is the topic in question. Although it may sound complicated, the point trying to be made is that ...
... we are unable to accomplish this third-dimension because we are too wrapped up in our own. Simply put, the brain of a 2 dimensional world person could not even perceive the three dimensional world, whereas the brain of the 3 dimensional world person could perceive both worlds. What's interesting is that our brains also play a part in our ability to see one our own point of view, we are all born with a one-sided dimensional view of our situations.
We can use a method created by Keith Raniere called Rational Inquiry (tm), to try and widen our horizons as far as perceptions are concerned and try to break down the dimensions that limit us. We can try to use this science to not simply change the short-term range of views, but also the long-term so that our future can utilize good decisions from a wide perception.
How can a shift in perception affect us? It is a evolution in the way we see and do our day-to-day thinking. It's a bit hard to imagine this, because we are so deeply rooted in our current perceptions, however, what if it is in fact possible to change our perceptions, if we are able to evaluate information differently, or more effectively? Suspense movies are one of the best examples of how these varying views can be used. We see different views in these kinds of movies because they take several different clues and piece them together. Then, abruptly, somewhere near the end of the movie there is a single piece of information that puts it all together. There is no doubt, this example will help you comprehend the way it works.
You can see how this concept invented by Keith Raniere regarding Perceptual shifts makes perfect sense. If you desire to learn more you can research his organization, NXIVM. All decision-making could be changed because of this innovative idea, we would not only add new dimensions to the choices we make, but also mold ourselves into individuals that can make them with a sound mind. Problems would become less in a world where everyone can see their issues through different eyes."
