Then extra oil paints are removed using sponges, rags and cotton swabs or even fingers are used. Layer painting is an old technique which involves painting in different layers using different oil-paint ratios to give spectacular effects.
Then different shades of lighting can be applied to the painting using the pendant fixtures. Metals like halogen or xenon are used in varied voltages for task lighting purpose which gives stunning effect to certain level of work areas like countertops or kitchen or tables. Wall grazing is yet another technique used to give great effects to the shadows in the painting. Accent lighting, wall grazing and wall washing are some of the modern techniques adopted by oil painting artist to give additional visual effect to their art work.
