The Madcap Rider is a fictional character that has been created as a generic form of the Marvel Comic's superhero, the Ghost Rider. Young boys all across America can dress up as the Madcap Rider while batteling evil ghouls and villians during their Halloween quest for candy and fun. The Marvel Comic book character, Ghost Rider, was a stuntman named Johnny Blaze who made a deal with a devil to save his dying father. The devil bonded Johnny Blaze's soul to another demon and during the night time he was transformed into the Ghost Rider.

The Ghost Rider was armed with a metal chain and rode on a Harley styled motorcyle. He had the ability to summon the fires of hell, to create a powerful motorcycle made out hell fire and the ability to drive his motorcycle up buildings and through the air while leaving a trail of firery destruction. Even though these powers were deadly and devestating, Ghost Rider's most dangerous skill was his ability to burn a person's soul with the flames of hell. He spared their flesh in order to make their souls suffer for their evil deeds.

Skulls and skeletons have always been a part of the Halloween tradition and folklore and the Madcap Rider is a character who has a skull head that resembles death. On the Madcap costume, the mask is designed with a grayish skull face that is covered on the top with a black helmet. There are two red lightening symbols on both sides of the helmet and down the middle is a checkered black and white racing design. Madcap's mask also has deep solid black holes where his eyes should appear and his teeth are long, pointy and ragged. This grim faced character is sure to make evil beings think twice before committing some foul deed this Halloween.

The body of the Ghost Rider also resembles a skeleton and Madcap's torso is the same. Manufacturers that produced the Madcap costume made a shirt with the superhero's frame printed onto the garmet. The shirt's background is colored black and it has a printed skeletal frame that stretches around both sides. On the shoulders of the garmet there are blue pads with protruding rusty iron spikes. There is also a blue neck collar and the bottom part of the shirt is trimmed with a blue stripe as well. Their is a multitude of skull heads printed on the stomach area of the shirt which seems as if it represents the dead souls that were unfortunate enough to cross Madcap's path. The shirt has long sleeves and various racing insignias and designs are printed on both sides.

The Madcap Rider costume was designed to be worn with black pants and black shoes or boots. Costume wearers can customize their own unique Madcap Rider look. They can wear skeleton pants to extended the skeletal frame of the costume to give it a more dreadful look. Since the Ghost Rider uses a chain to battle against villians young costume wearers can also accessorize their disguises with a chain as well. People could possibly use florescent red, yellow and orange paint to create the appearance of flames on the suit or the helmet. Most people might not be aware of the fact that the Ghost Rider also has a shotgun that he uses to shoot hell fire blast at his enemies. Young costume wearers could also decorate a toy gun with orange, red and yellow and make it look as if it is a blaster from the pit of evil.

Kids cannot legally ride motorcycles but if they have a bike they could transform their two wheeled mini vehicles to mimic the Madcap's cycle. Adding florescent paint or maybe light effects to a bicycle will give the Madcap Rider costumes the extra touch that they need in order to really get into the role.
