An Introduction To Provencale, France
The French area of Provencale is often referred to as Provence. This region is located in the southeastern part of France on the coast of the Mediterranean next to Italy. This region is part of the administration for the French area of Provence Alpes Cote dAzur. There are a number of attractions within this region of France.
Most of this region of France has a climate that can be classed as Mediterranean, therefore it is characterised by summer, which are dry and hot and the winters are mild with abundance of sunshine and very little snow. Within the region of Provence there are a number of microclimates and localised variations, which range from an Alpline climate inland and a continental climate towards the northern part of the island.
Anther important feature on the climate within the region of Provence is the winds. These winds tend to be dry and cold and this especially the case during the winter months and in some occasions the wind speed can reach one hundred miles per hour.

... see and do. The landscape within this region varies from high mountains to dramatic coastline and there are a lot of coastal resorts within this region of France. This region is also home to a large number of medieval villages that are very attractive and they are clustered by lavender fields, vineyards, countryside and also olive groves.
This region of France really consists of six main departments and these include Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, Alpes Maritimes, Var, Vaucluse and also Bouches-du-Rhone. Alpes-de-Haute-Provence is located within the northeastern part of the region and it is home to some very dramatic scenery as the landscape grows to take in the Alpes. There is a dramatic gorge that cuts through the middle of this region. Some of the other highlights of this area of France include Briancon, which is a fortified mountain town and also the popular ski resort that is known as Serre Chevalier.
Alpes-Maritime is another very popular area within this region of France. This area is located within the southeastern corner of France and it contains Cannes, Nice and Antibes. This area is home to non-coastal highlights, which includes some of the finest scenery that France has on offer. The Mercantour national park that is located within this area is well worth visiting.
