How To Stop Griping And Complaining About Your Life

I am amazed at how many times I've heard people complain about their "lot in life". They think that the only reason that other people do well in life is because they "get the breaks" or they have some unfair advantage.

Then again, I'm not amazed given that most people are thoroughly brainwashed by government schools and a liberal, welfare-entitlement mentality media.

Regardless, here we are. It doesn't really matter how you got to this point if you are a person who feels "victimized" by life. The one thing that does matter is whether or not you will CHOOSE to DO something about your situation. It does not even matter what you FEEL like because feelings follow choices.

FEELINGS FOLLOW YOUR CHOICES.

Picture a train in your mind. There is a caboose (representing your feelings) at the end of a train (your mind and will). When that train engine (your power to choose and make decisions) makes a change in direction, the caboose eventually follows behind.

Depending on the length of the train (how much growing you need to do; how far your feelings are from your will), it might take a little while for ...
... the caboose to reach the "turn" that engine has already gone around... but eventually it will.

Our feelings always follow our choices. If you want to have the right feelings, you must make the right choices. Many of us let our feelings run the show, and that is a mistake for us to live that way. If you let your mind and will guide you in your choices, the good feelings will come every time.

So, what choice is the right one? Usually, it is the obvious one. For some reason, the most obvious one can be the hardest. That's why we look for some other convoluted option instead of just choosing the obvious one.

Need more money? Quit wasting what you have and start imitating those who are wealthy (and spiritually balanced).

Do you need to lose weight? Quit feeding your face and get some exercise.

Need to be a more giving husband or wife? Begin by DOING things that good spouses do, regardless of how you actually feel.

Need to be more productive? Stop wasting time. Don't turn on the TV.

Too often, we desire to avoid the obvious solution because that will take the blame off us. Then, we can continue to whine and complain about our bad break in life. People with the same mind-set will join you in a pity-party, while responsible folks might give you a "Man, that stinks" but inside they are thinking "Quit your bellyaching and DO something about your situation!"

Are you whining and complaining about your life? Are you having any pity parties about your finances, marriage, or work? Do you keep dreaming of the day when your life will finally be what you want "if only....."?

Can it. Zip it. Dry it up. Shut you pie hole. Suck it up. Cease the pity-party. Quit whining. Stop complaining.

Want to be more spiritual? The Bible says to "imitate Christ". Want to be a better parent or spouse? Find someone who is and imitate him. Want to have financial freedom? Find someone who does, for the right reasons, and imitate that person.

It's up to you. Make a decision to take action. Be responsible for your life. Find a person who has already arrived at the destination you are targeting and imitate them.
