Writing this article was not easy if we were writing some twenty years back. Typewriter was the means and mistakes were a thing we could not afford to do. It would have made the paper so messy that it was not acceptable. Technology changed that; like many other aspects of our life changed by technology media around us has also changed. Earlier we knew only print media which has been so severely marginalised by visual that we even do not feel the need for it. Visual media is branched into many smaller segments and LED display is vital one; by their blinking and alternating signs they are easy to attract attention of the passers by and even are visible from a long distance. So rather than going through long process of advertising in the print media it is better to hire someone and rent the board.

The earlier neon signs have now been replaced by LED signs as the power consumption is less; fabrication processes are simpler and so even cost less. All these notwithstanding for the deep pockets it gives better looks to the display and so appeals more and in turn more revenue.

... till now is improving everyday and so we can expect something new each year; we are already seeing changes in dimension and it is not far that displays will also employ that. The only setback with three dimensional technologies is that we need specs to enjoy that. Someday we will not need that and can enjoy dimensional changes in displays also.

The electronic world is so full that even digital signage is considered ordinary whereas for showcasing a product it is one of the novelties as that can accentuate the specialities of a product quite correctly. The forms of Shop Displays have gone through a lot many changes once electronic displays became part of it and that could give power to the display light to reach a long distance, brought entertainment in displays in cartoons or short narratives even on a billboard, and so even people were found to stop on their ways to watch some of them. Whether that brought revenue is another issue but a non concerned person also got interested in it. For big outlets which offered a chance of window shopping to the viewers, digital cases was a revolution as it could accumulate products and ran them in a predetermined way to attract the viewers.

This is not the end of digital displays as technology is improving day by day so we should be prepared to be surprised regularly.
