[Gegereka exceeds Google in multimedia search]

Many people will agree that Google swiftly monopolize the market of
Internet search. Actually, it's hard to believe that somebody can compete
with such a monster; but not so long ago a new search machine appeared in
the Internet. It is called Gegereka.

Understanding that web-search business is a no-win competition for a start-up
Gegereka founders rejected the idea of information search and developed
the file search machine.

You think this idea isn't new and there are many web-sites on the Net
which provide such service? No, it's not so. One needs to be a
specialist to understand what a true network search is.
If you ever used a file search, you, probably, remember that each result
represented a link to a file, but that's not right. The true search
machine always gives links to separate servers as a result, and the
server, being only one line of search results, can (and must) contain
hundreds (or thousands) files.

(Imagine your PC. You can search inside ...
... a text document, and you can
search on the hard drive as well. Feel the difference? Both processes are
called search, but they are totally different and have nothing in common.)

SO, IT TURNED OUT THAT ALL FILE SEARCH SERVICES, WHICH EXISTED ON THE NET
TILL TODAY, AREN'T SEARCH SYSTEMS, BUT ONLY CATALOGUES WITH SEARCH
FUNCTION. ALL OF THEM GIVE LINKS TO A FILE (not to a server) AS A SINGLE
RESULT FOR ARTIFICIAL GROWTH OF RESULT NUMBER.
(For example: www.metaftp.com, www.filewatcher.com, www.ftpsearch.net).
AND TILL TODAY THERE HASN'T BEEN ANY SERVICE WHICH
CONSTANTLY RUNS THE NET FOR DISCOVERING NEW SEPARATE DATA STORAGES.
Unbelievable but it's a fact.

This very gap was filled by Gegereka project. This is a true Internet
search machine like Google or Altavista but it searches for data storages
instead of web pages. These data storages even can not have domain name!
It's unlike everything and it makes absolutely needless so popular p2p
networks and torrent resources. You can make sure Gegereka exceeds any p2p
service like edonkey or kazaa in terms of data volume. Moreover you don't
need to install any client software on your PC and you don't need to share
something or give something in exchange. I tested Gegereka several days,
one after another, and every day the data was new, and finally I found all
that I wanted (even CISCO OS files!).

These guys seem to know the trends. They foresee the file boom. People
constantly need files: all of them have some multimedia devices which are
useless without multimedia files. Google, Yahoo, Altavista and all other
search machines now provide special services for searching audio, video
and photo, but... As Gegereka FAQ said: Try to search .mp3 in Google
and you'll get a lot of pages with .mp3 as a keyword, but you'll get
no .mp3. Try to search .mp3 in Gegereka and you'll get thousands of .mp3
multimedia files. It is absolute true! Without doubt, any Google
multimedia search function is beaten by Gegereka. Actually, it refers
to all the other search systems as well. WE CAN SAY FOR SURE THAT
GEGEREKA HAS NOT COMPETITORS IN MULTIMEDIA SEARCH NOW.

It's interesting that Gegereka is a Swahili word and this word means
Octopus. Some time ago network bots which ran the Net were called
"spiders". Now it's time for octopus that has a lot of tentacles with
hundreds of cupules (to suck data). Octopus is much larger than spider,
his power is enormous, and the environment of Octopus is 3/4 of our
planet. Daintily symbolic.

I wonder why this service is still free, despite there's no commercials
on it. In my opinion, it's a temporarily phenomenon, associated with the
visitors attraction.
