Joan Miro Foundation: Juan Miro is well known for his interest in diversity of shapes, materials and color. Throughout his life he explored various forms such a sculpture, painting, theatre, ceramics and many more. The Joan Miro Foundation museum exhibits the private collections of the genius. You can see over 11,000 works of Joan Miro. The building itself is a great wonder. Designed by Luis Serta, it is a nice example of Catalonian rationalistic architecture.
Picasso Museum: It is one of the major attractions of Barcelona. Located in the heart of the old city, this museum houses the works of the famous artist Pablo Picasso. An initiative of Picasso’s friend Sebartes, the museum was opened in 1963. Besides exploring the works of the artist you can take a close look at the museum itself as it illustrates the artist’s emotional closeness to the city.
