Digital cameras are expensive so I guess you need to make a wise choice of digital camera without wasting your hard earned money. The first thing to consider before you do any thing else is think about what are your uses and how you are going to use your new digital camera. There are people who just want to point n' click camera that produces reasonable digital photographs. Those who are hobbyists want to get little creative at times. Perhaps a few close ups, the odd clever slow motion night shot and so on. Then there are those who want a digital camera that delivers top quality photographs. They want a fast operating camera that also adaptable.
Digital camera manufacturers use pixel count in the same way car manufacturer's use 0-60 mph speed times. The car that goes from 0-60 in 9 second must be better that the car that takes 10 seconds, right? Where I live the traffic is so bad I'm never going to notice the difference any way.
