There are no words to describe how very happy I was when my girlfriend got into a Massachusetts graduate school. For her field of photography, it was a top school. She had been getting ready to go to school there for the past four years. Talk about her super excited and nervous! We were both really crazy with excitement when word came that she had been selected for an interview. On top of all of the anxiety of the actual interview we had to figure out a way to be able to afford the trip. Driving was out of the equation since it would take so long and neither of us had the time off available for that from work. We couldn't believe how close we were to the school which was exactly as we had planned. It was a great thing that I was able to be there with her because when she aced the interview we were able to go out and celebrate. The official word from the school didn't come until much later, but she knew that same day that she had had a great interview.

Just six people are accepted to the program per year. She was one of the lucky six, but not as lucky as me to have her be part of my life. A couple of times a year I get to go see her because I know an excellent way to travel. Even though we don't know where we'll end up after she graduates, we do know that traveling isn't nearly as expensive as we once thought.
