Nokia N9 Is A Powerful Smartphone Considering Its Low Price
The Nokia N9 is the latest high-end smartphone to come from the Nokia stable, but it is very different from the current crop of Symbian phones out there. The main difference comes about in the operating system - the Nokia N9 uses the MeeGo operating system, while the other phones use the Symbian OS - and these continue into the way that the phone handles the operating system as well. One of the main criticisms thrown at the Symbian operating system is the lack of a high-end feel, but that will be available in abundance in the Nokia N9. This is partly down to the operating system, but mainly it is because of the powerful configuration that Nokia has employed in order to get the best out of this operating system.
The Nokia N9 will come with a 3.9 inch touch screen display that is top of the line when it comes to displaying all the content present in the operating system. This is due to the usage of a very high resolution of 480 x 854 pixels - this has not been seen in any Nokia phone so far - coupled with the support given to around 16 million colours. ...
... The other features of the touch screen display extend towards the AMOLED display technology and the anti-glare polariser. All these features combine to produce the best possible entertainment with respect to the display. The entertainment aspect would have been left hanging in the balance if the phone that not provide proper support from other areas.
As a result, it comes with the Dolby mobile surround sound enhancement technique that improves the quality of the sound massively. This along with the surround sound listening experience only adds to the appeal of the phone. They combine to produce the finest possible audio and visual experience. However, it is not complete if you cannot playback of high-definition video files without any lag. This is taken care of by the powerful 1 GHz processor, which is also used to run the operating system. It is the MeeGo v1.2 Harmattan OS that is used in the phone and to great effect as well. The eight megapixel camera brings the best out of the images unlike the Nokia E7, which also has the same megapixel camera but offers vastly different images due to the lack of technologies like autofocus.
Even though the secondary camera is present in the Nokia N9, the exact details of the camera is not known yet. It is likely that it will be used mainly for video conferencing. Apart from the usual connectivity features like 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, the Nokia N9 also has the NFC support. It is the talk of the town right now and its presence in the Nokia N9 shows that this phone is in tune with the latest technologies. Due to this, the Nokia N9 can also be future proof in the way that other Symbian phones are not at the moment. Besides that you may also wish to take a look at Nokia N950 for other available deals.
