Fruit and veg every day

Make this a rule – to eat fresh fruit and vegetable as very significant portions of your major meals every day. Further sex can help you emotionally bond better with your significant other and can also help boost your self esteem. There is even some evidence to suggest that a hormone released during sex could help reduce pain.

Play, socialize

Just tossing a Frisbee in the yard or any kind of playing with your children or participating in a sport with friends or neighbors is a great workout that is not even a workout. It is a fun time for all concerned which is also great for your health. The fact that you get to spend time with people close to you who can help strengthen relationships is just a plus. Making sure that you get some ‘Me’ time, some time to socialize with people you enjoy being with is also very important; research shows that this may just help you live a longer, happier life.

Exercise your mind

It is an oft repeated adage – what you don’t use, you lose. That is certainly true for the mind. To keep your mind in tip top working order, it must be stimulated, stretched and challenged on a regular basis. So make sure you do the daily crossword or the Sudoku puzzle in newspaper or online each day. Read as much as you can, inform yourself, keep learning new things; this will help to delay cognitive decline and help you live a fuller life for longer.
