Three Key Rules And Major Attributes Of Successful Advertising!
Advertising is second to none when it comes to application of some rules and regulations. In the following paragraphs, three important rules and major attributes of successful advertising are briefly explained.
Rule 1- Know and understand your target customer- Whether yours is B2B or B2C, any business is customer-centric that means any kind of product or service you are offering targets customers or audiences to buy or adopt it. The same rule applies in business to business advertising. The most important criterion of any brand or service business is to understand the target customer (s) because no matter what and how customers are going to decide the fate of your brand or service at the end of the day. So it is important to know and understand their buying motives and behaviour so that one can have an exclusive idea whether the product appeals them or not. As an advertiser, one should design the brand communication in such a manner that anyone who reads it finds it appealing and useful.

... right? If you are advertising your brand, it is also synonymous to advertising your business as every brand represents its business. Having an in-depth knowledge and understanding of your business is the first and foremost strategy of launching any advertising campaign. Have a thorough understanding of what your organization does, what it deals with etc.
Rule 3- Know the market- A market plays an important role while launching any advertising campaign of a brand or business. A thorough understanding of the market enables the advertiser to plan, devise and deploy his ad campaign with targeted impact on customers/prospects. Customers become familiar about your brand only when it is effectively positioned in the market. Hence, it is an important criterion to have detailed understanding of the market where you are going to launch your product and its promotion campaigns.
Two major attributes of advertising
Brand owners and advertisers use advertising as a marketing tool to promote their products and businesses amongst prospects and target groups. A proper advertising campaign ensures quick growth of the business by generating awareness about the product and inspiring customers to adopt or buy the product. Any brand advertising message is paid for by the brand owner. Advertising is different from other marketing tools because of this particular attribute. An advertising campaign is also launched in a hierarchal process. After finalizing the brand message, the advertiser seeks the most relevant channel of communication to convey the final advertisement about the brand amongst target groups. A strong means of advertising provides the targeted impact on customers’ mind. Therefore it is a must for every advertiser to implement the ad campaign through an effective channel of communication.
Non-personal presentation of a brand message
An advertising campaign is launched by an advertiser on behalf of the brand owner. The advertiser ensures maximum reach and impact of the brand message amongst target groups. However, this presentation of the brand message is done in a non-personal manner. Except for the advertising campaign assigned to be launched through the advertiser’s agency, the advertiser has got nothing to do with the brand in the future. A brand owner can also change or let various ad agencies launch his promotion campaign one at the same time.
