I was going about the weekly cleanup of my desk when I came across some notes I had written during a meeting with a friend from New York. I read the quote that had been underlined several times and thought about how powerful the message was.

"You must always strive to UPGRADE your conversation daily."

I remembered asking my friend what did “UPGRADE your conversation daily” mean. He responded that while so many of us get caught up in the “talking game,” we rarely ever act on all the talk. When it comes to “walking the walk,” we find ways to procrastinate or fill our day with busy work.

The scary fact is most of us do this more than once a day!

To truly be successful at whatever you want to do, you must “UPGRADE your conversation daily” So what exactly does this mean?

It means that if you need to figure out how you are going to get motivated sellers knocking down your door to give you their house, then your need to create a tidal wave of marketing tomorrow. So how does this relate to the quote?

Instead of saying “How am I going to get tons of motivated sellers knocking ...
... down my door?” UPGRADE your conversation to “How can I improve my marketing pieces to get a better response?”

Do you see the subtle, yet powerful difference?

To reach your goal, take some action every day towards that goal and before you know it, you’ve reached it.

You just have to get the ball rolling!

So stop wasting valuable time and money worrying about the perfect color paper for your postcards. Stop spending hours in front of the computer compiling a list of perfect questions to ask when a motivated seller calls.

UPGRADE your conversation and make some real money by taking action. If the color of paper wasn’t perfect or the questions weren’t quite right, that’s OK. Learn from it and improve upon it for next time. The important thing is you got the ball rolling.

So here is your challenge: For the next two minutes, focus on what’s the one next move you could take right NOW that would propel you forward to your goal? Now TAKE ACTION ON IT! It doesn’t matter if it’s not perfect – just get it done.

Remember, bodies in motion tend to stay in motion; and bodies at rest tend to stay at rest.

Get the ball rolling today and remember to always, always, always "strive to UPGRADE your conversation daily"!

To a rich week!
