10 Tips To Celebrate A Green Wedding
Green becomes new white when you consider it for weddings. Nowadays, eco-chic weddings are becoming more and more popular among various couples.
Here are some tips for planning an eco-friendly green wedding:
1. Location
This is the first element to set while planning for green wedding. Most of the couples who are fond of greenery can consider botanical gardens instead of ballrooms. Many couples are having their nuptials on untouched terrain, for instance, beaches, parks, nature preserves or their own backyard.
2. Keep it local
Use local resources as much as possible for your wedding. With this, you can save on transportation.
3. Bridal gown
Choose natural fibers to wear such as silk, grown cotton, and hemp as they are much more popular. Make sure that your bridal gown does not contain any chemical dyes or synthetic materials. Most of the brides to be want to use vintage wedding dresses or pre-worn dresses from their ancestors, which also add an indication of nostalgia.
4. Wedding invitations
You ...

5. Catering
Choose caterers who are specialized in making organic foods. Vegan and vegetarian diets are most popular for various reasons including health, environmental and ethical concerns. Discuss with your caterer to create an interesting and tasty menu without meat, dairy and processed sugar. For instance, an interesting and delicious entrée would be Mediterranean grilled veggies with balsamic glaze, wasabi smashed potatoes and herb-baked seitan with grilled artichokes.
Also, choose organic wine that is made from grapes and grown without using pesticides, synthetic fertilizers and any chemical that can damage soil and water.
6. Wedding cake
Choose a cake that is prepared with natural, organic and fair trade ingredients. Also, ensure that you serve fair trade coffee.
7. Wedding flowers
Choose florists who recycle everything they use from the flowers and foliage. Opt potted living plants to place as table centerpieces rather than cut floral arrangements. Choose the arrangements that can be re-planted and give your guests to take them to their home to replant.
8. Wedding favors
Choose organic chocolates as wedding favors along with a personalized note printed on a recycled paper. Also, you can gift jars that are filled with organic jellies, honey or jam. Candles or homemade soaps can also add a nice touch to your wedding.
9. Photography
Choose a photographer who works in digital format because digital photos are easy to share and are environmentally friendly. Film photography has less toxic developing methods, so discuss it with your photographer.
10. Honeymoon
While planning for your honeymoon, you can consider rainforest located in Costa Rica or an incredible exploratory escape at an eco-friendly holistic comfortable spa in Fiji or Africa.
