What do we do in order to stay healthy?
Health is too often taken for granted. We sometimes deny our body from essential substances it needs to keep us healthy, not to say “alive” in more than one way. Do we really need nutritional supplements on a daily basis basis?

Omega 3 is an essential fatty acid necessary for our health. Our body does not produce omega 3 on its own and that is why foods or supplements rich in omega 3 are important in keeping steady and good health.

The different sources of those fatty acids were always something that health professionals tend to focus on for their special role they play in keeping our health. What are the different sources and how can we recognize the foods or supplements rich in omega 3?

Maritime omega 3 supplements

Proper nutrition is important for maintaining health. Healthy lifestyle and reducing disease risk. Eating fruits and vegetables as a source of vitamins and antioxidants and a combination of dietary fiber helps the digestive system, allowing better absorption of these vitamins.
Vegetable found in Linseed supplements can be “unstable” and need low storage temperature in order to keep its’ effectiveness.

Sage omega 3

Clary sage also called “Salvia sclarea” is a large family that contains over 2400 different species growing wild across the globe. Clary sage in central america and northern Israel was studied in the “Volcani institute” for it’s medicinal virtues. Recently, an interesting use of the plant was discovered when Kenny Institute found that seeds from Salvia “sclarea” are not toxic and do not contain known allergens. The clary sage contains a vegetable omega 3 ALA in its’ seeds. This omega-3 source is considered stable comparing other sources. Clary sage oil contains vitamins.

”Chia” diet

This is a seasonal plant found in many colors and grows in the wild of different parts of the world including south America. Chia is rich in omega 3 found in it’s seeds. Many know it as “salvia hispanica”, the plant that was used by natives to south America, thousands of years ago. Some use it as dietary supplement tough some countries in the western world didn’t approve it in different forms or any quantity.

Vitamins supplements

Our body is “oxidizing” all the time every second. We produce “free radicals” that may cause damages to our body well functioning. In order to fight them|balance their effect}. Vitamins are called “anti oxidants” after their ability of reducing the effect of those free radicals. Those free radicals are considered responsible for diseases. We all know where vitamins are found, in fruits and vegetables and natural foods. The problem is poor vitamins capacity in over processed foods, due to process of manufacturing in many cases. Dietary supplements can be beneficial to health in cases of vitamin shortage.

Minerals are also necessary for our body functioning and like vitamins, they also can come short when it comes to modern nutrition. Consuming supplements such as omega 3 in addition to vitamins and minerals is recommended by many professionals in the health industry.
