It really needs the ferocity of a tiger to get on the top this membership organization, called PGA TOUR. This tour includes top players like Tiger and others. It includes more than 100 official events almost every year. More than $350 million in prize money is distributed among the winners. A series of events are included in it, about 100 in numbers. The major championships include the Masters, US Open, the British Open and the PGA Championships. This tour came into existence in the year 1968 and also oversees the other tournaments like the Champions tour for players above the age of 50 and also the Nationwide Tour for new and emerging players.

He is the winner of about 14 major championships; the most dominant superstar of golf is none other than Tiger Woods. Tiger has been an ace golfer and almost a celebrity for over decades. His father introduced him to the game at the age of about nine months. Mr. Woods won three consecutive U.S Amateur titles, from 1994 to 1996. That year he also received a $40 million contract from a sports goods company. During the course of the year, he won nearly 46 PGA tournaments. He ...
... won it in the first three seasons of the tournament. He also won the 1997 Masters, in the first attempt as a pro.

We may not be aware that PGA of America is different from the PGA Tour. The American PGA consists mostly of club pros. But tour also maintains a simultaneous membership of both the groups. This tour is an organization that operates the main professional men’s golf tours in the North American region. This tour is headquartered in the Floridian state of Ponte Vedra Beach in Florida a Jacksonville suburb. It adopted the name in the year 1975. The tour organization runs about 43 of the week to week professional events of golf. The events include The Players Championship, FedEx Cup, and the biennial Presidents Cup. The tour operators also run the Champions tour for Golfers above the age of forty.

Though he fell in some controversy but Tiger Woods won nearly all the pro golf major tournaments at least three times. He won the Masters of 1997, 2001, 2002 and 2005. The PGA Championships of 1999, 2000, 2006 and 20007. He also won the British Open in 2000, 2005 and 2006 and also the US Open in 2000, 2002 and in 2008 and also a host of PGA Championships. At the age of just 21, he is perhaps the youngest player and the first from any Afro-Asian descent to win the Masters Tournament. He won it at a record margin of about 12 strokes. In the year 1995, he completed his second career grand slam. He was perhaps the youngest player after Gene Sarazan, Jack Nicklaus, Ben Hogan and Gary player.
