Ferrari 458 Italia Style And Interiors
The Ferrari 458 Italia and the California, the most recent Ferrari eight-cylinder cars, are two authentic Ferraris designed for people who want to experience the pleasure of owning one but, at the same time, they contribute in satisfying two different kind of use.
The 458 Italia design has been developed by Pininfarina together with the Maranello Styling Center whom aimed to achieve a compact and aerodynamic shape to convey simplicity, technology, efficiency and lightness. The 458 Italia is a significant leap forwards the sporty V8 Ferrari generation that preceded it, delivering superb drivability even under extreme conditions.
The gearbox and the clutch have been moved from the still area to the rear of the engine compartment. The car’s powerful character is underlined by the swage line along its flanks, rising from the rear of the front wheel arch before dropping half-way along the door to the rear wheel arch. The result is a sleeker surface higher up and a characteristic scoop over the rear wheel arches. The front features a single opening for the grille and two large air intakes to channel air to the engine ...
... radiators. The central area has sections and profiles designed to direct the air to the radiators and the flat underbody. The nose also sports two small aero-elastic winglets which deform at higher speed. Their main function is to generate down force but they also contribute to improve cooling by channeling air to the radiators. The headlights are designed to give the Ferrari 458 Italia a characteristic stance. The main lens is a rotating bi-xenon light with low and full beam functions, which allow following the vehicle’s movements within the road curves.
The Ferrari 458 Italia characteristic brake air intake is a natural, harmonious part of the intersection of the headlights, wheel arch and bonnet volumes. The two larger and clearly visible air vents are located underneath the rear nolder. The vehicle’s sills are composed by two keel forms acting as fairing to the rear wheels, while the rear bodywork hosts the triple exhaust tail pipe, a styling cue that recalls the legendary F40 and clearly hints the 458 Italia’ sporty behavior. The exterior architecture is aimed to decrease the weight, reduce the frontal section to diminish drag and to lower the vehicle center of gravity. The result is an enhanced handling and road holding as well as a correct ratio between wheelbase, overhangs, front and rear path.
As every Ferrari, the 458 Italia has a unique design approach and technology innovations to achieve indisputable performance and driving experience. Inquiry about the Ferrari 458 Italia and Ferrari California today.
