1. Your dog is prone to be dealing with other dogs and might lead to a fight.
2. There is a tendency your dog might get lost or be impounded.

If you are going to look more closely, it would be highly advisable to go for a dog fence. This is for security reasons for you, your dog, other animals and people. Although, this would entail money on your part to have the fence installed, etc. But this would be a great investment especially when you are safeguarding here is everyone’s safety.
