This article is in continuation of our article “Know More About SEO Techniques: Part 1” These are some SEO tenchniques for fellow new learners SEO professionals and website designers.

Usage of Keywords in text links:

The text links are normally blue and underlined. When you are trying to use your keyword which you are targeting, try using it as text link. This is usually done when you are linking from one page to another. E.g. If you are having a keyword phrase as “cheap assembled computers”, you can link to “cheap assembled macs”.

It is observed and research says that there is huge difference in the likings of humans and the search engines when it comes to text links. Search engines expect the text links to be on the top of the page as they like the keywords to be used on top of the page. Hence, it makes sense more sensible for them to put the text links on top of the page. Whereas, when visitors are on the site and when they come across such text links on top of the page, they click the links, are then found lost on the site. This results as the intended message is not conveyed to the customer ...
... when they are on the particular page. So they prefer to have it on bottom of the page.

Looking for a way out? Here is the solution. You can simply unmark the blue color and the underlining the links which you have with the main body area of your content. Following should be included in your CSS file if you want to do this:

Thereafter, following should be done for each link by formatting the HTML code:
As well as providing cheap assembled computers, we sell high quality
Style=”text-decoration:none">cheap assembled macs.

Usage of Keywords in headings:

As search engines rely on headings while scanning your site, so do customers as well. Hence, while the search engines are indexing your site, headings play a vital role. So it is advisable to try the usage of the keywords in your headings. This shall finally result in increasing the site’s readability from the customer’s point of view when they scan it. E.g. let’s take a page where you are conveying more on cheap assembled computers, you can consider the follow suggestion by breaking it into logical sections with the headings:

The technical benefits of cheap assembled computers

The support benefits of cheap assembled computers

The cost benefits of cheap assembled computers

Usage of Keywords at the time of page starts:

It is generally believed and experienced by many SEO experts that the search engines notices the keywords when the page starts rather going at end of the page and checking out what has been represented. Thus, it is highly recommended that the usage of keywords should be at the time of page starts for each and every page.

3) How about if you want to target different couple of keywords.

Experts experience says that is better to have only one keyword per page. Obviously, you wouldn’t like that you compete with your own self on your own other keyword which can only happen if you try to use more keywords for targeting. A way out for targeting more keywords is quite simple and it is by creating each page for each keyword.

To be more precise, you can divide your site of cheap assembled computers into many different pages covering all keyword phrases you want. For example: Create a page for your cheap assembled computers, and then make another page for cheap assembled macs. Also, make one for cheap assembled pcs and so on. This way you can cover all the keyword phrases you are targeting on every different page. Also, ensure you cover the point number 2 as mentioned above by having the text links and covering up the keywords in the start of the page.

4) How much should be the minimum to maximum word count of my pages?
It is likely to be known that there should be maximum content to impress the search engines. This is for sure as content is considered to be the most important and king. However, it is not necessary that it should be written in length and volumes. Ideally, it is expected to be between 125 words -900 words. Going further than 900 words would definitely more than required and your visitors would also find it too much lengthy to read it. Having less than 125 words would also be too less for the search engines to consider your website.
