iii. informs the search engine spiders not to index this particular page. However, follow the links which are to the other pages. This is ideally used when you want to secure any particular page.

iv. informs the search engine spiders not to follow the links but to index that particular page.

• Usage of internal javascript and Flash should be avoided.

• Use of frames is not recommended.

• There should not be any kind of graphic within your content.

• If you desire to have the maximum googlebot crawlage then usage of parameter such as “&id=” should be avoided. Some of the websites do use “&id=” with session IDs. However, googlebot usually avoids this type of URLs.
