Toyota Camry has once again attained the top spot of the American-Made Index rankings. This ranking is conducted annually by a popular website to determine which of the existing vehicle models offered for sale to new car finders in the US are using more American-made components. Aside from this, the rankings also looked upon the impact that the production of each vehicle model provides on the communities where their plants operate. The study is quite unique since it is focused on unique aspects of a vehicle instead of looking upon the auto financing deals and other benefits that car makers offer to car finders.

The Camry occupied the top spot for this year since this is undoubtedly a popular model. In addition to this, the demand for this model is relatively high and this encourages Toyota to produce the Camry in higher quantity. The recent lead on the rankings this year was Camry’s third. The model’s lead started last 2009 and Camry has occupied the top spot for three years in a row. Ford on the other hand has one vehicle that was able to make it to the top-ten list and this was Jeep Wrangler built on its Toledo plant.
