Lack Of Sufficient Cash Halts The Development Of Jeep “gladiator”
Pickup trucks are among the most popular car types in different car markets. This is because pickup trucks are powerful and offer greater cargo space making this vehicle a top choice for most car finders. The demand for pickups in the US could instantly rise since more and more individuals are starting to realize the benefits that these vehicles could provide. Given this assumption, it is quite correct that the demand for pickup trucks in the US is uncertain.
However, despite the uncertainties involved in the demand for pickup trucks there were reports that Chrysler had been taking into consideration the idea of releasing a pickup under its “Jeep” brand to attract new car finders who were not able to find the toughness and power from cars aside from those who failed to obtain the auto financing offers that they need for purchasing a sedan. But this idea might need to rest for now since Chrysler doesn’t have the capacity to fund the development of the ...
... Jeep “Gladiator.”
The sad truth about holding the development of the upcoming Gladiator was just announced lately by Jeep’s CEO Mike Manley. According to him, Chrysler as of the moment may not be able to handle the production of this vehicle model since the company is currently undergoing massive restructuring of its brands.
Aside from this, the company’s resources are mostly allocated to the production of the smaller cars and the development of new transmissions. Given this condition, there is nothing left for Jeep to use in its plan to develop the Gladiator.
Despite this fact, Manley has also hinted that Chrysler is also thinking of producing pickup trucks as part of its global expansion. This could be a good strategy since pickups have greater potentials in markets that are in need of vehicles that belong to the one-ton version and one of the most significant targets would be some of the markets in Asia.
Given these, the halting of the development of the “Gladiator” Jeep will only lengthen the brand’s failure to release a new pickup truck version for the past few years. The brands’ only chance to release one is Chrysler’s decision to resume the Gladiator’s development as well as its release in the US or other markets abroad.
