Incorporate The Abundance Of Nature Through Floral Wallpaper

It used to be that choosing wallpaper floral designs meant that it was nothing more than cascades of either large or small flowers against a light or dark background. Today, however, there is a much wider range of designs to choose from, including large panels of artwork reproductions or designs with a modern twist. All of the choices available today make incorporating a floral touch that much easier, not matter what other décor you might be utilizing in any given room.
Take some time to plan first
When you decide to add a floral theme to a room, it is important to plan out the entire décor of the room you will be adding it to. You do not want to overdo it, and have the overall look turn out to be just a chaos of flowers, with no rhyme nor reason to it. This will also help to narrow down your floral choices, especially if you are going for a particular look for the room as a whole.
For example, picture a simple theme incorporating daisies as the primary flower featured. For most decorators, this would inspire a country chic look for the room, and that would then become the central theme. You could then ...
... coordinate the colors of everything else in the room to complement those used in the floral wallpaper, even to the point of repeating, on a small scale, the daisies pictured in the prints. Say that the daisies are pictured against a light green background. You could then use darker greens, browns and perhaps some pastel blues to finish off the colors in the room without dominating the flower theme.
Do not underestimate the usefulness of borders
One of the most underused accents available for interior décor today is the border print. To subtly add a new accent to a room, especially if your budget does not have the flexibility, using printed borders might just do the trick, and breathe new life into a space. Just by repainting the walls in a single room a darker shade, and then adding a subtle wallpaper floral border, you have just changed the décor theme from the ordinary to something with the potential for a period style.
The next step to continue with a subtle décor change would be to find complementary fabrics with which to create design accents for the room as a whole. For example, if you only have a couple of windows in the room, place the border only on those that have no windows, and then design a window treatment that carries along the border theme for each of the windows to coordinate the look.
New look, single panel
Some of today’s most popular floral themes involve using single panels of wallpaper that reproduce artwork. A beautiful touch for any room is to incorporate panels of Japanese cherry trees, weeping willows over a pond, and the like. Paint the surrounding walls in a complementary tone to frame the panel for a striking showcase look.
