The reasons are endless why a Liverpool Street office should reduce the amount of paper that they use, for one the blatant environmental benefits, then the amount of money you can save and also because paper is not always the safest way to keep confidential information protected.

So if you are considering relocating to a new Liverpool Street office in a new location then here are some pieces of advice to make it a 21st century paperless office, created in collaboration.

1) Firstly, determine where in Liverpool Street is your closest recycling facility or service. You need to know exactly where the recycling plant is and which way to get there from the office. You should also look into organising a collection service, as depending on your exact location in Liverpool Street it might be quite a distance to the facility.

2) Secondly, you should use electronic messaging rather than paper letters. Perhaps the best way to reduce the amount of paper your office uses is to use electronic messaging rather than memos, fax machines and sending letters. If you use this method then you will be able to reduce office spending ...
... and make your staff a lot more productive as they won't have to travel through the over when passing on a letter but instead they will be able to click on send to dispatch an email.

3) Marketing materials, journals and even the daily papers can all be received electronically, so there is no need to have paper copies. In fact, using paper for these particular purposes is one of the most unnecessary and wasteful uses of paper that there is. This is the case as 90 percent of the time papers and magazines just end up in the bin anyway, so it is just a big waste of paper. Also if you subscribe to a magazine online you can then be creative with online content and use in an important presentation or business meeting.

4) Maybe a white board could replace the need for post-its. Office workers always have something remember so they make a note of it and usually this is on a yellow post-it but in a reduced paper office you might want to think about using a whiteboard and using that. A whiteboard is reusable and is a great way to make handy little notes or to jot down reminders. As a result a whiteboard can be a great way to reduce the use of paper in the office. So if you have made the move to a serviced EC2 office, then you should go to the nearest shop and buy a whiteboard.

5) Finally, paper-free doesn't just mean cutting back on A4 it can mean so much more. It can also mean using electric hand-dryers in the toilet instead of paper towels and by using coffee mugs rather than paper cups. There is a limitless list of things that an office manager can do to reduce the offices use of paper, it may even be as easy as designating a corner of the office for the proper disposal of paper.

Not too long ago one of the firms I deal with on a regular basis relocated to a Liverpool Street office and they used the relocation as a means to implement new paper usage and recycling procedures. In the end they saved quite a lot of money and their workers became very efficient when using paper.
