The Volvo S60 Is Recalled For The Second Time

Most of the car buyers are currently looking for vehicles that offer excellent safety features. The primary reason for this is that almost every car finder would like to avoid the higher cost of being involved in accidents that might cause damage to properties, injuries, and deaths. Given this reason, almost all car makers are trying to produce safer vehicles aside from providing the most competitive auto financing deals to attract more and more new car finders to prioritize their vehicle models over the others.

Aside from this, federal agencies such as the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration o (NHTSA) are also doing their best in monitoring the safety conditions as well as the overall performance of different car models on the road. Just recently, the NHTSA has recommended the recall of the Volvo S60 due to the problem in its fuel-line quick connector.

... vehicle’s engine to stall automatically and this might lead to crashes or collisions. The crash might endanger the lives of the car occupants on board the Volvo S60 with such problem. Aside from the risk of collision, this particular problem might also cause fire once the fuel of the Volvo S60’s leaking fuel is exposed to sparks or ignition while the vehicle is in motion.

Upon notifying Volvo, the company has identified that there are 478 units of the S60 that might experience this kind of problem. As a result, Volvo issued a recall order to retrieve the units affected by the problem and have it fixed to prevent probable injuries to their owners in the event that the connector gets detached.

Volvo has also known that out of the 478 units affected by this problem, 440 of these were sold in the US. Given this, it would be easy for the company to recall each of these. However, they also need to recall the remaining units that were sold outside the US. This was Volvo’s second recall after the first one which happened just a few days ago.
