Tips For Men On How To Dress To Impress
Men might not necessarily be born with a fashion instinct, but good fashion tastes can be learned. All it takes is a little thought as you're standing in front of the mirror in the morning. Whether you're dressing casually in t-shirts (and heck, why not other clothing options like a matching jacket), or donning it up in a tux, fashion should be sculpted, not just thrown together. Check out these digs on dressing fine.
Make It Fit
Even when it comes to clothing, it's essential that the clothing fit. Most guys' clothes are too large. Often, they are trying to hide a sagging tummy, but usually they end up looking like hot air balloons. Make sure shirts are pretty much hugging your body, not too tight but snug enough to know your body's there.
Simplify
The biggest rule fashion rule for men is don't overdo it. Sure, a lot of guys throw on their shirt and a pair of jeans and call it done. Others decide to throw on everything they can find on the bedroom floor. Keep jewelry and colors limited to the rule of three. A little flash like a shiny watch or a gold chain can do wonders, but you don't want to look ...
... like a pimp. Really, a clean shirt and jeans may be the safest standby.
Never Shop Alone
Just as you should never swim alone, never shop alone. You could get lost in deep waters. Sales people work for commission. Don't trust them. They'll tell you anything to run that charge card. If shopping with male friends seems too girly, take a date. Even if you're just out shopping for Porsche clothing, a girl's eye can tell you which shirts work and which are better off washing the car.
Experiment
At the same time, fashion should be fun. Be creative. Try out several different styles, even if you risk having those junior high moments again. Dress for fun with a sense of flair. If you're straight, women can be great fashion consultants, and if you're gay, you probably don't need that much help, or at least know somebody you can turn to in distress. Don't let fashion be uptight. Clothing is supposed to be fun, but it doesn't have to be boring. Even t-shirts deserve accessories.
It's Gotta Be the Shoes
Don't forget the shoes. Just because they're foot level, they shouldn't be ignored. Shoes add borders and dimension to an outfit. A good pair of shoes will carry you a long way. Even clothing looks better with a shiny pair of sneakers instead of that roadkill pair that's been sitting in the garage. Porsche shirts and a good pair of sandals make for great fashion at the track.
