A Solid Trading System That Works Reliably
I’ve been trading electronically for some time now. In my tenure I’ve learned that Trading Computers are crucial to daily productivity. A solid trading system that works reliably – all the time, every time – can mean a world of difference in an environment that functions in real-time transactions. I’ve authored a comprehensive guide that covers the technical aspects of trading computers and the impact they can have in the day of a trader. I’m Eddie Z and my guide can literally save you thousands of dollars on your next computer purchase.
As with any major purchase, there are some common mistakes to avoid when looking into trading computers. I’ve written before about the “Seven Deadly Trading Computer Mistakes,” and feel they’re important enough to discuss them again today.
The first and most common mistake is not doing anything. It’s assuming that the dinosaur you’re operating can keep up with the analyzing, the chart drawing, the video streaming, the multiple window web browsing, and instant communication speeds you need without problems. ...
... Well, if you’re here, then you’ve likely already realized… IT CAN’T. But at least now, you’re acknowledging it.
The second problem is one that can be ridiculously costly, not in just dollars, but in time and effort (two currencies I refer to frequently, because as a trader, sometimes they’re worth more than money). A laptop, while a newer technology, also cannot stand up to the daily intensities a day trader throws at it. Is it perfect for Internet surfing and Facebook? You bet. But it’s built as a miniature model, designed as a portable unit, so brawny, it is not. And it’s impractical anyway. A single screen and touchpad completely inhibits navigability. Plain and simple: it’s too little to get the job done. Trying anyway will result in a wasted purchase and dealings with a tech support structure that is neither technical nor supportive.
A third error in trading computers is assuming that you can get anything worth anything at a retail giant. Pricing offers are attractive, I’ll grant you that. But the “half price” offers from half-wit salesman will result in a purchase that is less than half of what you need. A Trading Computers’ processor and motherboard need an entirely different set of capabilities than a standard home or office desktop, so why would you want to buy one that was made in the same assembly line?
These are not even half of the mistakes I hear about on a regular basis, and I’m here to help you avoid making them!
