Rescuing My First Dog

There's nothing that could make me more happy than I was when I first got our new dog. She was a cute little Chihuahua that was called Chianti, just like the delicious wine. She had not had the very best treatment up until we got her and she was a rescue puppy. Her previous owners neglected her and never gave her any sort of positive attention. The closest decent pet store was nearly two hours away. I had been saving some Amazon coupons to buy something important and this was definitely it. This dog was in some desperate need of some spoiling.

I ordered her all sorts of different dog toys. I ordered everything from a toy rope to those little rubber toys that you put peanut butter in. Then I realized that I didn't even have the proper kind of food and water dishes for her. For my little puppy, I decided that she was only going to get the very best of everything from then on out. For her food dishes, I ordered a set that is pretty princess pink with fake diamonds and the whole thing. But, until my purchase arrived she was stuck with my kitchen bowls from the cupboard like me.

In order to protect their trachea from being hurt it was necessary to get keep them on a harness whenever they are attached to a leash. I could already detect a wear spot on this dog's throat area from where her previous owners had kept her on a collar. How my heart was shattered from such inhumane treatment my little princess got.

I selected a harness from the leading supplier and it's a cute plaid one that will look so adorable on her. Although I totally support making sure this dog gets the care she requires, I had to stop myself when it came to dressing her up. I did give in and get her a nice sweater though. Chihuahuas don't exactly take to cold weather and what with our winters getting kind of cold, I thought it was a good investment.

It seemed really quickly that all of my purchases started arriving. In just a short week's time, I had received all the different packages from the many merchants I had ordered from. The time I spent bonding with her was really special for us both. To get everything we needed didn't require a long car ride which was nice as well. She had been through enough stress and didn't need that as well. She's already on the road to the good life that she's always deserved.
