Nissan Tests Roadside Assistance For Evs
The struggle to at least increase the number of electric vehicles on the road is still confronted by different issues. This includes the questions on the EV’s performance on the road, the issues on safety, and the growing doubts on the minds of electric car finders particularly on the cost of maintaining this type of vehicle. Due to these, the demand for electric vehicles can be considered to be sloppy despite the fact that most dealerships are offering better auto financing deals for this type of automobile.
Aside from this, there is a particular aspect of electric vehicle ownership that is still in question. This is the lack of clear ways on how to recharge the EV in the event that its batteries are drained in the middle of the road. This is very important since new car finders of the present are more cautious in selecting the vehicles they purchase compared before. They tend to become more critical in assessing possible scenarios that might occur when ...
... they buy a particular automobile.
Due to this, Nissan is seriously taking the possibility of an EV stuck in the middle of the road with its batteries drained. As a result, they have come up with an idea of establishing roadside assistance for EVs in the event that their power source fails due to lack of needed charge. This time, Nissan utilized the idea of using mobile charging facilities mounted on trucks to help EVs stranded on the road.
This strategy is currently tested in Japan by Nissan in cooperation with the Japan Automobile Federation (JAF). This is considered as one of the primary efforts in addressing the problem brought about by sudden charge loss among EVs. The main principle for this is to provide EVs with the needed charge that would allow these t run to the nearest charging facilities and obtain the needed charge.
This effort is further strengthened by plans to establish more charging facilities in strategic areas where the EVs would be travelling. However, the goal of placing more electric vehicles on the road supported by adequate number of charging stations is viewed to be a longer process since a lot of measures and policies that must be implemented before the ultimate goal of more comfortable travelling experiences for EV owners would be achieved.
