Commercials are considered as one of the most effective ways used by car makers to promote their vehicles. This is because commercials are very useful in transmitting messages to viewers that include a number of new car finders. Most of the ads released by car makers usually projects images that evolve around the basic and exciting features of the vehicle shown in the ad. In addition to this, commercials aimed at capturing the attention of every car finder also highlights some of the best auto financing deals that car makers are willing to offer to potential customers.

However, there are set of rules such as the laws o copyright that car makers should adhere to when it comes to the production of commercial. This set of rules is strictly enforced and possible violations might lead to legal actions. This particular situation has actually happened to Audi since this company might face possible legal sanctions due to the accusations thrown against its 2012 Audi A6 Avant commercial.

There ...
... are unconfirmed reports that the famous rapper Eminem might sue the company for allegedly using the melody of its “Loose Yourself” song on their latest commercial. Although the music on its 2012 Audi A6 Avant trailer was quite different from the original melody of Eminem’s song, the publisher of the rapper’s songs which is the Eight Mile Style has realized sufficient grounds for making legal actions against Audi.

Aside from this, Chrysler might also take more drastic measures against Audi. This is because the German car maker’s latest commercial was also accused of copying some of the scenes of Chrysler’s Super Bowl ad entitled “Imported from Detroit.” The plot of Audi’s commercial was also almost similar to that of Chrysler. It was filmed on dark streets, projects the A6 Avant’s features and driving performance, and the musical accompaniment was also similar to Eminem’s song.

Although Chrysler has not yet announced a detailed and formal statement regarding this issue, the statement given by American car maker’s spokesman strongly implies that they would surely take necessary actions to punish one of its closest competitors. Given this, it is possible that Chrysler would also sue Audi for copyright violations.
