The problem of hair loss is great issue for both men as well as women. But in comparison to women, especially men get affected by this hair loss problem. This problem may be due to the process of aging, due to some genetic condition or it may be due to the side effects of some drugs. Usually in this condition the hair becomes thin in the front, on the sides or on the crown. Total loss of hair is a rare case. There are many causes of hair loss in women but some of the common causes are given below:

1. It may be caused due to genetics or hereditary factors especially in male.

2. Due to some psychological stress like high fever, sudden or excessive loss of weight, extreme diets, nutritional deficiencies, surgery or metabolic differences. Death of any family member may also be one of its main causes.

3. Due to some hormonal problems also there is a loss of hair.

4. Intake of steroids also results into this problem.

5. It may be caused due to excess intake of vitamin A.

7. It may be caused due to some fungal infections of the scalp.

8. Some medical conditions like diabetes or lupus may result into this problem.

9. Chemotherapy or radiation therapy may also result this problem.

According to experts women can easily cope up with their loss of hair by taking vitamins, herbs and diet. You should take the foods which are high in protein, low in carbohydrates and also have a reduced fat content. Intake of fatty acids is also essential which are found in foods like walnuts, canola oil, fish and soy. These fatty acids are good fats and they have anti-inflammatory properties which plays an important role in healthy hair.

One of the important causes of hair loss is lack of iron which often occurs during the reproductive years. Lack of blood results into the problem of anemia and thus causes hair loss in women. So intake of iron should be increased in the form of diet or medicines especially during the reproductive years. So, all the supplements which are necessary to avoid the problem of hair loss must be taken properly.
