Telugu Matrimony For Telugu Community
Searching for a Telugu bride or a bridegroom can be a difficult task for the guardians who want to get their children marry in their own community. Muhuratam- it is an auspicious start of the matrimony process wherein dates of "The Day" are fixed by the spiritual consent of a priest. It is after this event that Telugu people carries the matrimony procedures further.
Pendlikoothru- is a ceremony in which the eligible boy or a girl is applied with the paste of turmeric and mustard oil. This is done with a view to enhance or beautify the inner beauty of the bride and the bridegroom.
Gauri Pooja- is done on the day prior to the marriage ceremony. In this, the eligible prospects are made to have a holy bath or Manglasnanam, which is done with respect to proceed for the pooja ceremony thereafter.
Kanyadaan- is a step ahead where the bride is taken to a mandap with a curtain sited in between both of them. The ceremony is usually performed by the bride's father where he ties a knot by giving his daughter to the groom.
Manglasutra- wearing Manglasutra is a must practice in the Telugu matrimony. It is a chain of gold with black beads. Manglasutra is worn by women after they get married.
Saptapadi- last but not the least, seven rounds around the spiritual fire is taken by both of them with a view to stay with each other for the rest of their lives.
