The Forbes magazine has published the 2011 Forbes List of world's 50 richest athletes in early June 2011. Kobe Bryant, LeBron James and Yao Ming take the top three places in the list among NBA players and Yao ranks world's No. 18.

NBA players take 15 places of the top 50 in the list, who earn an average annual income of $ 28m. The golfer Tiger Woods successively wins the world's No. 1 with an annual income of $ 75m, regardless of the scandals earlier which almost destroyed him. Kobe takes the No. 2 with an annual income of $ 53m last year; LeBron James takes a place right behind him with $ 48m.
