Smart Credit Card Comparisons In Australia

It used to be quite a difficult process to compare credit cards accurately and using the same criteria – you never really knew whether you were getting the best deal around unless you went to all the banks and picked up bundles of information and pored through it at home. Many people just ended up going with whatever their own bank was offering at the time.
Things have become much easier with the rise of personal finance sites in Australia that do much of the legwork and sorting through for you. Smart credit card comparisons are made much easier because the information is presented clearly, separated by unique feature and is able to be sorted by each feature dynamically by you. It is also more comprehensive.
Now you will find when you visit an Australian credit card comparisons site that all the card deals from many different banks, financial institutions and credit providers are featured. You can instantly see what the APR of each card is and can sort them by the highest APR (unlikely) or the lowest APR (that would make more sense!) If the annual fee is important then, similarly, you can sort them by that – ...
... and the same applies for interest free period, balance transfer rate, balance transfer period or cash advance rate.
Therefore, once you have decided on the features of the card that are most important to you can run some smart credit card comparisons fairly easily and accurately, narrowing down your choices as you go in the knowledge that you are comparing like for like.
It is important, of course, that you are choosing a card that suits your financial way of life – for example, if you know that you will want to take cash out on your credit card as an advance some months, when the monthly salary doesn’t stretch quite far enough, then you will want a card without a high cash advance rate. But you don't want to look at only one feature – if you are pretty good with paying off the debts every month and can budget for repayments on the same day each month then it's also worth looking for a decent interest free period. You will therefore have to compare credit cards along the lines of these two main features – low cash advance rate and long interest free period - and decide which one offers the best deal. Of course you won’t get everything; you may have to suffer a higher APR and annual fee as a consequence of the other benefits you are receiving.
