Week long holiday in Deccan Odyssey Train traverses its guest through the land of great Marathas to introduce tourists to legendary glory of Maharashtra. Each day of seven days long holiday in Deccan Odyssey Train is special and memorable as this train's journey covers mesmerizing beaches, magnificent forts and palaces and many attractions of the land which are simply majestic. This train does not provide mere holiday trip but a trip into the past of Maharashtra and its immortal grandeur.

Deccan Odyssey Train leaves from Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus or popularly known as VT at 16.40 Hrs on Wednesday for a wonderful seven days long holiday trip. Cathedral and Churches as old as 15th century like St. Augustine church, se cathedral etc full of serenity and peace are visited, lunch is served in the train and in the evening tourists are taken to beach resort for enjoying typical Goa's culture and meal. On the fourth day of holiday in Deccan Odyssey Train tourists visit city of Kolhapur to see New palace, Bhawani Mandap, Mahalaxmi Temple and also get a chance to shop at the local market to buy goods made up of leather for which city is renowned since old times.

Aurangabad is the next stop of Deccan Odyssey Holiday Train to visit world famous Ellora caves, these caves excavated by vertical escarpment contain Buddhist halls of worship and monasteries and Jain and Hindu temples. Ellora caves behold the largest monolithic temple in the world known as Kailasa Temple. Apart from Ellora caves, Daulatabad fort and Bibi ka Maqbara are other stops during the day, Bibi ka Maqbara is famous as replica of Taj mahal. The sixth day of holiday in Deccan Odyssey Train takes to wild life sanctuary at Wardha, one of the famous sanctuary in India with rich wildlife and around 50 Royal Bengal Tigers. In the evening, visit to Sevagram introduces tourists to Gandhian style of living in this unpretentious village where Gandhi Ji resided and many important and momentous decisions were taken during freedom movement.

The seventh day of holiday in Deccan Odyssey Train takes travelers to Allora caves built in 2nd century displaying Buddhist way of worship and many fine murals and sculptures. In the evening visit to Kalaram Temple and Panchwati ghats sums up the holiday in Deccan Odyssey train with farewell dinner at the train. On the morning of 8th day tourist alight at Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus after spending a wonderful time in interior Maharashtra.
