Ipswich is Suffolk's county town and is very popular with tourists because it has so much to offer every visitor - including cafes, shops, theatres, galleries, museums and - of course - a fantastic range of hotels to choose from.

The Belstead Brook Hotel is a converted Jacobean hunting lodge and it still retains many of its original features. The hotel is based within 9 acres of gorgeous parkland yet has convenient access to the town centre of Ipswich. There is also a classical restaurant and leisure club on-site.

If you are interested in first class hotels that offer the height of luxury, then you must check out Kesgrave Hall. This grand hotel has stylish bedrooms with views over the beautiful grounds, and is not as expensive as you would expect. There is an outside terrace for al fresco dining, which is perfect in the warmer months, and the restaurant is open throughout the day for breakfast, lunch and dinner - or all three!

Another impressively grand building is Hintlesham Hall Hotel ...
... on the outskirts of Ipswich. This award-winning hotel has 33 bedrooms and is located within 175 acres of glorious countryside, making Hintlesham Hall the ideal place for a romantic break or even a honeymoon. Speaking of which... Hintlesham Hall Hotel's wedding services are second to none - there are a number of rooms to choose from for both your ceremony and reception, and wedding planners are on hand to help and advise you every step of the way.

A more affordable yet equally charming hotel is the Best Western Gatehouse Hotel. The hotel is situated only a mile from the A14 and ideally placed for the coast or trips further afield. Alternatively, The Ramada Encore in the centre of Ipswich has 126 bedrooms to choose from and each is inexpensive and suitable for those on a budget or a business trip. The same applies to the Holiday Inn, which is just 10 minutes from the town centre and offers a number of leisure activities plus 24 hour room service.

As you can see, there is plenty of choice available to those of you visiting Ipswich - and we haven't even discussed the masses of guest houses, B&Bs and Suffolk Inns with accommodation to be found there!
