In Chinese feudal traditional culture, “dignity of fatherhood “ is entrenched. In educating children, many parents require children to listen to their own words. Parents dislike most when children are not obedient. Anyhow, being obedient seems to be the highest standards of “good guys”. Because of this, the most obvious shortcoming reflected in China's children is lack of independence and creativity.

Parents' words, are not all good advice, also are wrong sometimes. Although it is clearly wrong, we also let the children to listen, is this to let children establish a wrong good abilities to discern? In a certain sense, too obedient children are more likely to be “problem children”.

Why to say “obedient” children is “problem children”? We can observe that most obedient children commonly appear to be scare, funk, and rarely have their different views. But they do not speak is not equal to have no different views. Only such children are better at suppress their own ideas, even if they have problems, they also don't put forward and less dispute with the elder.

Some children in kindergartens ...
... or school are especially obedient, observe disciplines. At home they also very little rebel against their parents- they get used to the praise from the people around them; But they often can't stand criticism most, psychologically fragile, without personality and independence. They do not have their own ideas, and dare not against the evil forces.

Such children, their character has been distorted, and psychology also is not perfect, naturally become the “problem children”. Unfortunately, this problem does not arouse people’s attention enough, and ordinary people haven't put such children as problem children.

In the modern concept of family education, we should give kids a contentious consciousness, and create this kind of environment. In the single-child family, or a little more democratic atmosphere, we may let children and parents in equal status, exercise assertive and knowledgeable ability of children.

Of course, although children are not obedient, this also should have a degree. The children should understand what is wrong or right. Obedient or not, we firstly see if speaker is reasonable and correct. If you are right, you also should pay attention to the way you talk, then the children will be convinced, and your words will have effect.
