Trimming Trees
Trimming and pruning of the trees is one of the most important activities that you have to perform frequently if you have many trees in your garden. Different kinds of trees require different kind of pruning. You should always consult an arborist to know that which season is best for pruning of which kind of trees. An arborist is a trained professional who works in the field of culturing and maintenance of the trees. Most of the trees can be trimmed easily at any time of year, but many of them would require special consideration. Also some of the trees grow fast as compared to others, so the frequency of trimming the trees will depend on the rate of growth of various trees. For example pine grows much faster than the oak and thus require very frequent trimming.
Before you have to start trimming you will need to collect the shears from a nearby store or borough it from the neighbors. Buying a pair of shears for yourself will help you to trim you trees in future; therefore it is always better to buy than borough. If you have an old pair of shears than it will be good if you get it sharpened before using it for trimming. ...
... A blunt shear will lead to consumption of too much of your force and energy and even then will not produce good results. Once you are done with the process of sharpening goes on for sterilization. Sterilization can be attained by cleaning the shears with warm water and applying an insecticide or pesticide to it. This will prevent the spread of the diseases of the plants from one plant to the other.
Next get a sturdy ladder and secure it at a wall in an angle that would help you conveniently do all the trimming. In this manner you can geld hold of the various tree twigs and cut them easily. Also it will be handy to ask a friend to support the ladder while you are at work to prevent any kind of accident. While cutting never try to reach the very far of the outer edge to prevent falling. Many cases of the falls have been recorded by the person trying to reach very far off edge.
Always make sure that you remove all the dead stems and dense growths while cutting. This will play a beneficial role in the further growth of tour tree and at the same time, invigorate or revitalize your plant. Beware that you do not reach for any bee hives that are present in your tree. The bees if disturbed will give you very nasty stings and you will repent on your adventure of venturing into them. Also never go near the power lines to prevent any electric shock. Also cut the twigs at a point where they form a V because with one cut you can reach for two twigs. In this manner you continue trimming till you feel that the tree has attained the required size.
