Cisco Data Center Switching provides maximum speed scalability of the
architecture to support growth in every direction, operational benefits and
improvement of services icrease staff productivity.
Cisco Catalyst
6500-series has an 8-port 10 Gigabit Ethernet module and 4-port 10 Gigabit
Ethernet module. These optical modules plug to support distances up to 80 km
over single mode fiber, 300m over multimode fiber, and 15m over copper.
The
Cisco systems
WS-X6708-10G-3C Gigabit Ethernet module provides up to 64 ports of 10
Gigabit Ethernet in one Catalyst 6500 chassis, Edenic by adding layers of
network centers and campus data. Both modules are compatible with the Cisco
Catalyst 6500 Series Supervisor Engine 720 and provide 40 Gbps knowledge of the
switching matrix. Based on the award-winning Catalyst 6500-series, the 10
Gigabit Ethernet modules are compatible with all the modern online maps Catalyst
6500 and service modules, allowing service providers and enterprises ...
... to deliver
new services layer 2-7 and networking opportunities to earn income and
productivity of consumers discount absolute upgrades of the accessories.
The
Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series 10 Gigabit Ethernet modules are designed to join the
movement or interbuilding, points of presence, WAN edge, and MAN connections.
The modules comply with the IEEE 802.3ad link aggregation and Cisco EtherChannel
technology for fault tolerant connectivity and scalability of bandwidth of 80
Gbps per EtherChannel. In addition, support for hardware-based Quality of
Service, access control lists and jumbo frames to adjust the safety and
intensive applications bandwidth.
The
Cisco systems
WS-X6708-10G-3CXL Gigabit Ethernet module, dual density unit 10 Gigabit
Ethernet in the Catalyst 6500 Series, offering up to 64 ports of 10 Gigabit
Ethernet in a single Catalyst 6500 chassis. It is ideal for placement in the
data center to aggregate bandwidth and servers in the layer assignment for the
consolidation of LAN uplinks on LAN access layer.
The new 8-port 10 Gigabit
Ethernet device complements the existing integrated services on the Catalyst
6500-series to enable customers to build a progressive center, altering, and
compliant data to meet their business needs to accelerate and prosperously
virtualize servers and storage to build the resource utilization and reduce
capital expenditures. 10 Gigabit Ethernet devices are supported in the Catalyst
6500-series chassis also that the Cisco 7600 Series. -01 Version of the optics
are not supported. SR optics gives 26m FDDI multimode fiber quality and are
ideal for distribution in the data center for server affinity. LX4 optics
provide 300m on multimode fiber and are ideal for sharing with campus LAN
uplinks.
