The Optimus Black is one of three new Optimus Android phones from LG alongside the 2X and the 3D. One the face of it the Black is the lesser of the three devices as the other two phones garnered a lot of attention by introducing new features to the mobile phone industry. The 2X ushered in the age of the dual core smartphone and the Optimus 3D will be the first phone to come with a 3D screen. However, the Black may not offer any new groundbreaking features like its Optimus siblings but it is arguably the better of the three devices.

The Optimus 2X did not live up to the speeds that people had imagined and 3D screens are still something that many people are unsure about. The Optimus Black is an excellent all round Android phone with great messaging and entertainment features. It is one of the thinnest phones on the market, being thinner even than the iPhone 4, and has a very stylish black appearance to it (hence the name, obviously).
