Layout Patterns Of Tiles
The tiles we use in our houses can be layed out in a number of patterns and the styles.
Each year designers design a series of new patterns with different shapes and colour patterns. All the patterns designed are those that suit the settings in our house. This can be explained in a way that as in modern days the houses are constructed on small areas therefore such tiles are designed that virtually increase the area of the room as in case of glass tiles and again such tiles are preferably arranged in the mosaic manner. In case of a mosaic pattern tiles usually made from ceramic or the porcelain are cut into different sizes and then are arranged in a mosaic manner. This pattern looks interesting and the greatest advantage of this pattern is that it can cover the corners and edges of the room. In some cases a portion of the design is formed at the corner of each tile and when all these tiles combine then the puzzle or the picture gets completed in the middle of all tiles. This completion of picture looks fascinating.
In an alternate pattern we lay one horizontal row in one tile followed by an abutting horizontal ...
... row of your second tile style. In this way a very beautiful alternate pattern would be obtained. The advantage of this pattern is that the tiles are mutually arranged with no gaps created between them and the dust does not get accumulated between them. In case of a brick pattern each tile is placed in a horizontal position forming a horizontal row and the vertical line is not in line. This pattern is mostly followed by the brick tiles of red colour. These brick tiles are usually thick and are used on the wall of the exterior house. In certain cases the diamond shaped tiles are placed in such a way that they are placed edge to edge and at the end a diamond shaped figure is layed out on the floor. In a corridor pattern two tiles are placed horizontal and in front of these horizontal tiles a vertical tile is placed. Again two horizontal tiles are placed at the side of one vertical tile. In this way a corridor pattern is formed. This pattern is most commonly used in floor tiles as these tiles are easily cut in any size and the shapes.
The patterns include the alternating centre, basket weave, brick weave, brick work, checkerboard, corridor, diamond, divisible, grid, Herringbone, hexagon, hopscotch, inter locked, museum, soldiered, steeping stones, waffle, windmill etc. all these patterns or the layouts are formed differently and it is not easy to lay the tiles in these patterns only the professionals can do it. All these different types of patterns are used with different type of tiles. If you want to decide about what colour or design to choose, and where the tiles to place then look for the tile catalogue you will definitely get the idea about what to choose.
