These innovative technologies include “hyper metal head” and “super head cleaner”. Hyper metal heads are intelligently engineered to reduce error rate (less than 10-15 bits) and strengthen the output frequency by improving the signal-to-noise ratio. Super head cleaner system is incorporates in all the Sony DDS drives. It helps to eliminate the need for periodic use of cleaning tape cartridge. This new innovative system prohibits accumulation of debris and contaminants, thus resulting in an astonishing MTBF of 250,000 hours.
