Each month Events and Adventures Minneapolis club host between 30 and 50 activities and outings exclusively for single men and women. This particular event is one of high-tech intrigue and played by others throughout the world in various geographical locations, some of them even quite remote. It is called Geocaching and if you have never heard of it you are not alone. This is a new kind of treasure hunt where players are equipped with GPS devices. The idea basis of this action adventure outing is that somewhere in your defined area is a storage cache with who knows what hidden inside. Think of this game as the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus meets new technology and you get an idea of what is going on. Now, you obviously enjoy a day of hiking ...
... and lots of healthy exercise without even noticing because you are absorbed in your own quest to find the hidden cache of treasure before someone else does.

This game of Geocache Treasure Hunt is played at several state parks in the Minneapolis/ St. Paul area and enthusiasts share experiences with others online. The technology is based in a location finding GPS device and these devices are available free from the State Parks. What do you win if you are the first to find the hidden cache of treasure? Who knows, what is in there! You are going to have to win it and fill us in about your treasure find!

Now, if you are a more sedate sporting experience, this is likely not it either. Come on single people, Events and Adventures is an activities club! People who join our singles activities clubs are fun loving, thrill seekers so we are heading out to the Xcel Energy Center to watch The Swarm. This is a daylong opportunity to cheer, mix, and mingle with members of Minneapolis local professional lacrosse team, The Swarm.

Whether you have ever been to a Lacrosse match or not, Events and Adventures encourage members to come out and support their local Minneapolis professional lacrosse team. In fact, Events and Adventures club is making you an offer that is hard to refuse. This spectator event has all the comforts of home, or at least your local pub, because the singles club activities director has seen fit to procure a private box just for Events and Adventures members. This includes bottomless snacks and other refreshments for everyone to enjoy during the game.

For those unfamiliar with lacrosse, it is a game played with long sticks - much like hockey-except, there is no ice. Lacrosse is played on a field and lacrosse player sticks are actually poles with a basket at the end. In short, lacrosse game action is in the air, unlike hockey where the puck is on the frozen ground or floor of a frozen arena. Lacrosse is a high-energy game with players passing back and forth. Another common trait in lacrosse is the more than occasional outbreak of violence among players on the field.

After this adrenalin pumping event ends, Events and Adventures club members will head over to Grand 7 Saloon for the Swarm post party. At this post game, after party, Events and Adventures members will have a chance to meet and mingle with actual players from the Swarm team. This is not something every fan has the opportunity to do in an after game situation! By the end of the day, you may find you have a new favorite sport and perhaps even a favorite player on your Minneapolis team.
